NATHALIE MBA BIKORO, Gabon/France Nathalie Mba Bikoro is a French-Gabonese interdisciplinary artist working with live art performance as her main point of departure. She is an independent curator and works on international projects and is research editor for emerging artists and is a visiting lecturer teaching media arts and philosophy. "Working in hybrid spaces, frontiers which I have produced and situated between European and African continents, the plurality of my origin provides me with the authorisation to interrogate my own history and that of my nation, the place of my birth as well as the continent of Africa", she states. "The Uncomfortable Truth", Bikoro's performance at La Contact is a process of corporeal ritual, visual background, recitation and silence.

JOHANNES BLOMQVIST, Sweden Johannes Blomqvist is a performance artist who lives and works in Luleå, Sweden. He is known for his work which involve personal interaction, social happenings, enviromental and body seremonies, searching for new kind of sacred. At La Contact, he performs a piece called "Man to Man".

MYK HENRY, Ireland/USA Myk Henry, Dublin-born artist living in New York, believes that it is important for both the artist and spectator to be directly involved in the questioning process of art. He is especially interested in the thin divide between public and private space and through his artwork investigates the gauge of this boundary. Mediums such as new media installation, sound sculpture, video and performance are used by Henry to engage the public and bring them to a heightened level of awareness about their own personal values and viewpoints.
PILVARI PIRTOLA, Finland The low fidelity art of visual, video, audio and performance artist Pilvari "Nosfe" Pirtola challenges the economical, social and presentetational conventions of contemporary art. The increasing anarchy of late capitalism is transformed though Pirtola's artistic vision into an experimental spaces of found and made objects, images and noises, or into suggestive performances. "I always work with the intention of finding a new direction. It's perhaps for the best that it's not found", Pirtola has said.

MARTIN RENTEIRA, Mexico Starting from the body, multidiscipliniary artist Martin Renteria creates rituals, where actions, objects and atmospheres provoke all kind of interpretations of the same reality. He plays with universal concepts such as space, power, balance, time, uncertainty, delicate beginnings of processes, human being essence and the urgency for establish genuine relationships.

PANU TYHTILÄ, Finland The controlled performances of Panu Tyhtilä, whose background is in the visual arts and cinema, tend to be dramatic moral rites, in which the process of physical action or ritualistic behaviour combines contradictions such as subject and object, representation and identity, conceiling and revealing, and the archaic problem of good and evil.
YOU/ME, Finland You/Me is a band formed by the visual artist and musician Marjatta Oj (guitar, vocals), musician Asko Keränen (groove box, vocals) and Oliver Whitehead (live video). Their live visuals and space-electropop music flow freely to several directions and levels, evoking feelings and moods. The images and sounds either contradict each other or create an expanded feeling of synchronization.
